At the Munroe-Meyer Institute, all colleagues work together to support the institute’s mission. And when a colleague stands out for their dedication, compassion, innovation or effectiveness, they should be recognized.
The MMI Quality Council suggests three ways to recognize outstanding members of the MMI team.
MMI’s Monthly Standout
MMI’s Monthly Standout nominations are accepted here. This link also is available each week on the MMI Monday update sent to MMI employees.
The Monthly Standout is a way to recognize and celebrate sustained excellence that goes beyond expected job responsibilities at MMI. Recipients earn a MMI water bottle or insulated lunch bag and a gathering over the lunch hour with MMI Director Karoly Mirnics, MD, PhD.
Nominations are due on the 15th of each month for the next cycle of awards.
Silver and Gold U Awards
The Silver U and Gold U Awards provide campuswide recognition.
Silver U Awards
The Silver U Award is given to employees whose overall performance is above and beyond the scope of their position. Approximately 72 employees each year receive a Silver U pin, a clothing item with the Silver U logo and an invitation to the Silver U luncheon with UNMC Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold, MD.
Gold U
The Gold U is awarded six times a year to employees who consistently deliver outstanding performance and service to UNMC. Recipients of the Gold U are honored at a breakfast with the chancellor, receive a Gold U pin, $100 cash award, an invitation to the Annual Service Award Dinner in June, recognition at a Board of Regents meeting that includes a Board of Regents “Kudos” certificate and a career development award of up to $2,500.
