A crane will temporarily be on the corner of 44th Street and Dewey Avenue on the Nebraska Medical Center campus today from 6 a.m. through 5 p.m., resulting in a road closure on Dewey Avenue between 44th and 45th streets. It was previously closed on June 2, May 26 and 25.
The Emergency Department at the Nebraska Medical Center, located at 4350 Dewey Ave., will remain open and accessible from 44th Street during this time.
The crane will be lifting structural steel that will be used as part of the clinical lab expansion.
There will be signage at Emile Street and Saddle Creek Road to inform drivers going to the Emergency Department to go to 44th and Farnam streets, and the same signage at 45th Street and Dewey Avenue.
