New document imaging system improves clinical and non-clinical workflows

Hyland Onbase is an integrated scanning platform that will go live here at Nebraska Medicine on Aug. 12. It will replace Streamline, which is currently used for all document imaging.

All users who access patient information within One Chart will be impacted by this change. Those in Health Information Management and Revenue Cycle will experience the greatest impact.

With Hyland OnBase, clinical users will be able to scan external results and link them to an order within One Chart. Providers will be able to perform a more thorough search when reviewing patient information, and HIM (Health Information Management) users will be able to add better document tags to improve overall document organization at the patient level.

Training for the implementation of Hyland is being provided throughout the month of July and will consist of various methods based on your department and role. More information on training soon will be available in a banner on your Learning Homes found within One Chart.

Resources for Hyland workflows integrated into One Chart can be found on the One Chart Training Resources website.

Revenue Cycle and HIM training resources can be found on the Revenue Cycle SharePoint site.
