The UNMC Office of Global Engagement (OGE) will hold its inaugural International Photo Contest from March 8-24.
“While it is difficult to replace the excitement and thrill of international travel and cultural discovery, the OGE wants to celebrate our sense of adventure and yearning for international knowledge,” said Jane Meza, PhD, associate vice chancellor for global engagement.
Participants are invited to submit up to three of their favorite travel photos for the contest. The online submission process will be through the OGE website, where participants also can find the official contest rules.
“The photos should inspire a global curiosity, a sense of adventure and a yearning for knowledge,” Dr. Meza said.
Photos will be judged based on originality and creativity, photographic quality and communication of culture and place. All judging will be done anonymously, and a grand prize will be awarded, as well as prizes for the top three entrants in student/resident and faculty/staff divisions.
Participants can contact Danielle Thies in the OGE via email with any questions.
