CVS, which provides UNMC’s drug coverage through CVS Caremark, has created a COVID-19 resource website that has some helpful information on COVID-19 (including vaccination processes and availability).
Although the COVID-19 vaccine is not yet available at pharmacies in Nebraska, this website will be continuously updated as vaccines become available for the general population, such as family members of UNMC employees. To see an example on the type of information that will be listed once the vaccine is available in Nebraska, conduct a search on Iowa.
UNMC employees can set up an account log in. After logging in, at the red bar on the top right of the screen, click on “Visit the COVID-19 Resource Center.” Then, at the red bar in the middle of the page, click on “Vaccine Availability at CVS.”
I have a question. If I could get an appointment in Council Bluffs, IA at a CVS for my husband who is not a UNMC employee – would that be ok?
Editor's Note:
Thanks for the question, Hilary. Yes, it would be OK to scheduled an appointment.
I seen where phase 2, 50+, was starting today (03/22/21). Is that true? I'm having a hard time making an appt
Vaccination information inquiries should be directed to your county health department.
