Talk about your job and what you like best about it:
What I like best in my role is I get the privilege of being in both the academic and clinical worlds of family medicine. I see the growth and experiences of the full scope of physicians from the student to resident to faculty. I enjoy having the opportunity to be a part of that evolution using my knowledge and skills to enhance and support it in any way I can.
List three things people may not know about you:
- I have been in/on every ocean except the Arctic Ocean.
- I am a 17-year Navy veteran, and my first job in the Navy was an aircraft metalsmith.
- Once my nest is empty (three years and counting), I am hoping to take classes to be a master gardener. Flowers more than veggies — but love to be in the dirt!
