Omaha Chamber seeks input on transportation

The Greater Omaha Chamber is working with its member organizations and public-sector partners to develop a new transportation strategy for the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro area called ConnectGO.

In 2019, the chamber conducted a survey of several thousand people to establish the broad goals of the effort:

  • Equitable access to opportunity
  • Attraction and retention of talent
  • Economic growth throughout the region
  • Stewardship of the System

Since the first survey, the chamber has identified several specific transportation strategies to help achieve those goals. The group is exploring public transit, biking, walking, driving and moving freight.

Since UNMC is a major employer in the region, chamber officials have asked members of the UNMC community to provide input from on the strategic plan so far.

Take the survey.

The survey will be open through the end of the year.
