On Tuesday, April 21, UNMC and UNO Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold, M.D., and Nebraska Medicine CEO Jim Linder, M.D., hosted a virtual town hall for employees and their families. Hundreds of people attended with their families, with more than 475 devices logging into the evening forum.

Topics addressed included:

Pandemic overview, safety of staff, patients and visitors: Mark Rupp, M.D., chief of the UNMC Division of Infectious Diseases
Family member coping: David Cates, Ph.D., director of Behavioral Health
Supporting your loved ones: Sarah Richards, M.D., medical director of Patient and Provider Experience

Attendees also were able to ask questions of the panelists.
