On Match Day 2020 on Friday, March 20, the Department of Anesthesiology welcomed eight new residents to join in July 2020 as CBYs, and two advanced residents to join in July 2021 as CA1s. The 10 residents will form the class of 2024.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Match Day ceremonies were cancelled this year. Residents received and email at 11 a.m. CST notifying them of their matched program. Many celebrated privately with loved ones, obeying the CDC's guidelines to gather in groups fewer than 10 people.
