How I fell in love with pharmacy education:
I always knew I would end up in the teaching profession, but I wasn’t sure of the subject matter that would interest me the most. I started undergrad as a music education major (French horn and piano) and quickly realized that music was a hobby for me. After my first semester of college, I changed my major to biochemistry and molecular biology (I know, it doesn’t make a lot of sense).
During my senior year of college, I decided to attend pharmacy school after having an intriguing conversation with UNMC Emeritus Professor Ted Roche, Ph.D. Following our conversation, I was sold on pharmacy and the widespread impact pharmacists could have on communities they serve and the overall health of patients.
I have been fortunate over the past 15 years to be involved in pharmacy education. I have seen how empathetic and compassionate educators serve as formative role models for future health care professionals, fostering the personal and professional growth of students. I am excited to be back home at my alma mater and further develop high-quality experiential education experiences for the UNMC College of Pharmacy.

- B.S., biochemistry and molecular biology, Nebraska Wesleyan University, Lincoln (1999)

Three things people may not know about me:
- I’m a wife and the mom of four boys who keep me busy with sporting activities.
