Faculty and students who are interested in developing the next series of e-learning modules are invited to attend the informational meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 18. Lunch will be provided for the first 40 people.

Informational meeting details

Date: Sept. 18
Time: Noon-1 p.m.

Place: Sorrell Center, Room 2010

Those unable to attend in person can watch the live stream via Zoom.

Each e-learning team includes two to four students led by faculty and will receive $1,000 for project creation or student stipends, as well as access to e-learning experts, equipment and software.

Teams choose a topic to incorporate into the faculty member’s curriculum that focuses on information students find difficult to retain. Participants determine the type of interactivity that makes their content memorable.

Each project will be included on the E-Gallery, and participants will be recognized and honors given at the E-Learning Showcase on April 21.

The E-Learning Program is a collaboration between students and faculty. Students provide creativity and technology skills as they contribute to the curriculum and gain teaching skills. Faculty provide content expertise as they add interactivity to courses and ease their workload with the help of students. Participating is a great way for both students and faculty to enhance their CVs and gain recognition across campus.

To apply for the upcoming E-Learning Program, faculty must submit an application by Oct. 21. Award winners will be notified on Nov. 5 and projects must be completed by April 6.
