Anesthesiology education administration team welcomes Guziec

The Department of Anesthesiology welcomed new Fellowship Coordinator Amy Guziec on August 12.

Guziec was a residency program coordinator in Creighton University’s Obstetrics and Gynecology program for the past three years. Prior to that, she worked in the office of the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions. Additionally, Guziec began a master’s program at Creighton University in organizational leadership and plans to complete it at the University of Nebraska Omaha.

“I enjoy working in graduate medical education and school in general, so I’m hoping to continue my career path in this field,” Guziec said.

Guziec will oversee the regional anesthesia and acute pain medicine, pediatric anesthesiology, and pain medicine fellowships. She joins the education administration team of Sarah Matya, educational programs administrator, Mary Bernhagen, fellowship coordinator, and Shelly McCaffrey, residency coordinator.

“We’re thrilled to add Amy to our team in a time of robust growth in our department,” said Sarah Matya, educational programs administrator. “Her experience in graduate medical education is a tremendous asset, and we’re fortunate she joined our team.”
