Golf tournament to support Meyer Foundation

The Phi Rho Sigma Medical Society will hold its fourth annual “Phi Rho For a Cause” golf tournament at 2 p.m. Sept. 29 at Benson Park Championship Golf Course, 5333 N. 72nd St., Omaha.

This event benefits the Meyer Foundation for Disabilities, which is dedicated to serving adults with disabilities, including supporting a number of vital programs at the Munroe-Meyer Institute. It will be an 18-hole scramble event. Participation in this non-competitive event will include members of UNMC Phi Rho, other UNMC students and staff, and members of the Omaha community at large.

Golfers will receive an 18-hole round with a cart, a burger and brat dinner, flag prizes and will participate in a raffle.

Registration is $60 for UNMC students, $80 for non-students and $320 for four-person teams. The event also is still accepting sponsors. See registration and sponsorship information here.

Donations are 501(c)3 tax deductible. All proceeds of the event go directly to the Meyer Foundation for Disabilities.
