On April 7, an upgrade to the newest version of the One Chart application will be completed. This upgrade offers numerous enhancements that will make it easier for the health care team and patients to use our electronic health record system. Some of the most exciting changes are summarized below.
- Place and sign orders in one location with the Visit Taskbar. The Visit Taskbar is your new home for placing and signing orders in outpatient encounters. Available in nearly every activity, the taskbar appears at the bottom of the workspace throughout the encounter, so that you can place a new order at any point during the visit.
- Reconcile discharge orders faster. Home medications and inpatient medications now appear side-by-side in a single screen for faster reconciliation. As you complete your orders, the Orders sidebar shows you a real-time preview of the After Visit Summary, so you can see which medications the patient will be instructed to start and stop taking.
- Create your own personal order panels. From either the Visit Taskbar (outpatient) or the Orders Sidebar (inpatient), queue up a list of orders and save them together as a panel. The order panel saves to your user preference list for quick access in the future.
- Document and review LDAs on an avatar. In the new LDA Avatar, a patient’s lines, drains, airways, and wounds (LDAs) appear on a visual representation of the body, so you can quickly see where a patient’s LDAs are located. You can document and review LDAs from the avatar.
As a reminder, information regarding training materials for end-users can be found on the One Chart Resources Website or on the Learning Homes within One Chart. If you have specific questions about training, please email One Chart Training Requests.
