January’s Olson Center Brown Bag Lunch event — to be held from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the Eppley Science Hall Amphitheater — will feature Marcia Adler, Ph.D., speaking on “How to Design Achievable New Year’s Resolutions Using the Eight Dimensions of Wellness.”
Dr. Adler, a registered nurse and a faculty member at the University of Nebraska at Omaha’s School of Health and Kinesiology, will discuss how, each January, people use New Year’s resolutions as a tool to improve some aspect of their life. If the resolutions are health or wellness related, many times the goals are too lofty and unattainable.
She will describe the eight dimensions of wellness and explain how to incorporate them into the development of achievable New Year’s resolutions.
Seating is limited; please pre-register by calling the Olson Center at 402-559-6345.
Bring lunch and refreshments will be provided.
The lectures are free. However, the cost is $10 to obtain nursing credit. Payment instructions will be given at pre-registration.
