Presentation highlights proposed psychiatry residency program
On Dec. 12, the UNMC Department of Psychiatry held a presentation to discuss “A New Psychiatry Residency Program for Nebraska: A Vision for 2020 and Beyond.” Daniel Gih, M.D., and Marley Doyle, M.D., who will be the new program directors, spoke at the event.
The current combined residency program in psychiatry with Creighton University started in 1987. UNMC will begin a four-year separation process from Creighton and open a new psychiatry residency in 2020 pending approval by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
