MMI’s Kim Falk named Silver U winner for December
Kimberly Falk, program associate for the University Center for Excellence for Developmental Disabilities Education, Resarch and Service (UCEDD), is the Silver U winner for December.
Falk’s nominators offered effusive praise for her work with the Lifespan Respite Employer Engagement Project, which began as a one-year project and is now in its third year. In her role as respite employer engagement coordinator, Falk partners with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services Respite Program to increase awareness of the needs of family caregivers and help employers connect workers to respite resources. She also mentors students in her home through Project DOCC (Delivery of Chronic Care) and the Respite Service Learning Certificate Program.
Drs. Fisher, Piazza bring expertise to Rome
Wayne Fisher, Ph.D., and Cathleen Piazza, Ph.D., conducted workshops in applied behavior analysis in Rome, Italy in November for Italian students studying to become board certified behavior analysis in the Consorzio Universitario Humanitas.
This is the second year Dr. Fisher has provided training to the students in this program and it was the first year for Dr. Piazza. The Consorzio Universitario Humanitas has expressed an interest in Drs. Fisher and Piazza providing training to their students on a yearly basis.
Kim,
Congratulations!
