The UNMC Ice Rink opens on Nov. 30 and will remain open for approximately six weeks.

Nov. 30 — UNMC Ice Rink opens
Dec. 4 – Board of Regents meeting
Dec. 5 – First performance of UNMC/Nebraska Medicine employee orchestra, Durham Outpatient Center West Atrium, 7:30 p.m.
Dec. 5 – Airing of movie, "Do No Harm," dealing with topic of physician suicide – for medical students, residents and physicians. There will be two airings – noon, Truhlsen Events Center and 5:30 p.m., Durham Research Center Auditorium.
Dec. 7 – Employee Skate Day, UNMC Ice Rink, 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. (light refreshments and free UNMC winter hats to the first 200 attendees)
Dec. 10 – Dr. Robert Binhammer’s annual holiday sing-along, noon-1 p.m., Truhlsen Events Center 
 Dec. 11 – Student Senate event for all UNMC students – Free, all-you-can-eat pancakes by the Pancake Man, as well as sausage and orange juice, Sorrell Center Atrium, second floor, 3-6 p.m.
Dec. 11 – Chancellor’s Holiday Tea
Dec. 11 – Science on Screen at Film Streams, 7 p.m., "Home Alone" movie will air followed by discussion featuring Jonathon Sikorski, Ph.D., psychiatry, and Kacie Baum, public relations
Dec. 11 – 9th annual Nebraska Child Health & Education Summit, hosted by UNMC/Nebraska Medicine, 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Sorrell Center. Keynote speaker is Sharon Hoover, Ph.D., University of Maryland, co-director at the National Center for School Mental Health.
Dec. 14 – Winter commencement, 2 p.m. Joslyn Art Museum
Dec. 18 – Chancellor Forum with Marjorie Kostelnik (Budget Response Team update), noon, Sorrell Center, Room 1005, will be livestreamed (tentative)
January – Impact in Education Awards ceremony – Date TBD
Jan. 4 – Gov. Pete Ricketts and Sen. Mark Kolterman of Seward, Neb. will tour the UNMC campus, 1:30-3:30 p.m.
Jan. 9 – American Physician Scientists Association (APSA) Research Fair for students, 3-5 p.m., Truhlsen Events Center, first floor, Sorrell Center
Jan. 15 – Chancellor Forum, noon (tentative), Sorrell Center, Room 1005, livestreamed
Jan. 25 – Board of Regents meeting
Jan. 25-26 – UNMC Skate-a-thon for Parkinson’s, UNMC Ice Rink
Feb. 10 — UNMC Ice Rink closes
Feb. 15 – Wellness event, "The Ecology of Well-being in the Health Professions," 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Scott Conference Center, 6450 Pine St., open to all UNMC, Nebraska Medicine, and UNO faculty and staff. Guest speaker – Nancy Nankivil, American Medical Association
Feb. 16 – TedX event on resilience at UNO
April 5-28 – Nebraska Science Festival (April 18 – Student Expo at Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum in Ashland; April 26 – Student Expo at the Durham Museum; April 27 – Public expo at the Durham Museum)
April 15 – UNMC Board of Counselors, 4 p.m. (invitation only)
May 9-10 – Nebraska Medicine to host a Ragan Communications Conference on crisis communications.
May 30 or 31 – 1st EON VR Innovation Academy Graduation Ceremony, 2:30-4 p.m.
