Students: IT can help with your technology checklist

UNMC Students who need help completing their technology checklist can turn to the UNMC Department of Information Technology.

The IT department can help:

  • Get your computer connected to secured UNMC WiFi;
  • Get antivirus installed;
  • Get Office Productivity Suite installed;
  • Get email set up on cell phone;
  • Get students registered with the UNMC | Sync and E2 Emergency notifications;
  • Get removable storage devices encrypted;
  • Have needed apps installed;
  • Demonstrate how to use Canvas;
  • Help students maximize the use of Echo360 Active Learning Platform; and
  • more.

The UNMC Department of Information Technology will be available from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Sorrell Center, third floor commons area, to assist students on the following dates:

  • Thursday, Aug. 16
  • Friday, Aug. 17
  • Monday, Aug. 20
  • Tuesday, Aug. 21
  • Wednesday, Aug. 22

If students are not attending the Omaha campus, they can connect with Information Technology via a web conference.
