iEXCEL major contributor to KANEKO Reality Exhibition

The upcoming KANEKO Reality Exhibition will feature iEXCEL as a major program component showcasing advances in simulation and visualization in health care education. The blending of science, technology and art to stimulate creativity permeates the iEXCEL portion of the Reality Exhibition.

Free and open to the public, the exhibit runs from June 1 to Sept. 26.

“Participating in the KANEKO Reality Exhibition is an excellent opportunity to share with the community the benefits offered by iEXCEL,” said Pamela Boyers, Ph.D., associate vice chancellor for the Interprofessional Experiential Center for Enduring Learning (iEXCEL). “UNMC and the iEXCEL team are most grateful to be able to partner with the innovative and creative KANEKO team to create this inspiring exhibition.”

Organizers say the notion of truth, history, and the presentation of what is “real” will be dissected within the Reality programming season at KANEKO. This collaborative, interdisciplinary exhibition will investigate art, science, and technologies that create, alter, and reflect upon our sense of the real. Performances, lectures and educational offerings will further explore the concept of reality through various perspectives of art and science.
