Med center hosts youth violence prevention event
More than 30 people from 11 community and civic organizations visited Nebraska Medicine April 23 for a walk-thru of the Dusk to Dawn youth violence prevention program, now in its second year.

This two-and-a-half hour program educates Omaha’s youth about the emotional, physical and social consequences of interpersonal violence, while challenging them to find pathways to a healthier life.

The agencies represented included:

  • Big Brothers Big Sisters;
  • Boys Town;
  • Charles Drew;
  • Heartland Family Services;
  • Lutheran Family Services;
  • Omaha Public Schools;
