College of Allied Health Professions’ Donner wins Noble Award
Linsey Donner, assistant professor and microbiology coordinator in the medical laboratory science program in the College of Allied Health Professions, received the 2018 Shirley Noble Award at the 2018 Nebraska Laboratory Spring Meeting. This award recognizes an American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science-Nebraska member who actively promotes the laboratory profession. The member acts as a positive role model and mentor to members of the society and laboratory students as did the award’s namesake, Shirley Noble.
Executive MBA program at UNO to host networking and recruiting reception
The Executive MBA program at the University of Nebraska at Omaha is hosting a Networking and Recruiting Reception on Tuesday, April 17, from 5-7 p.m. The event is an opportunity for prospective students to learn more about the program, meet faculty and talk to current students/alumni. Campus safety office seeks preparedness survey participation
The Campus Safety Office is asking members of the UNMC community to participate in a survey on community preparedness. In collaboration with the emergency management agencies in Douglas and Sarpy counties, the University of Nebraska Public Policy Center is conducting a Community Preparedness Survey for residents of the two counties. The survey is intended to track concerns and preparedness activities related to natural disasters and community emergencies. It will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete; answers will be kept confidential. Take the survey here. The survey will be open until the end of April. Participants will be entered into a drawing to win a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration weather radio.
