Education Showcase seeks abstracts, attendees

The Interprofessional Academy of Educators (IAE) is accepting abstracts from all health professions educators to participate in a “Spotlight on Scholarship” presentation, a chance to display their educational research to the entire UNMC community as part of IAE’s Educational Showcase.

The Educational Showcase will be held May 10 at the Center for Nursing Science on the UNMC Omaha campus.

Proposals are being accepted for both platform and poster presentations, to be part of an open house-style format designed to spotlight the educational innovations our colleges and institutions while celebrating UNMC educators and UNO medical humanities educators.

• All health professions educators are welcome to submit a proposal.
• Poster and platform presentations are eligible, including those presented at other conferences.
• The event provides an opportunity for peer review of a new project.

The presentations and poster session will be held from 12:30-2:30 p.m.

The event also will include a “Writing for Publication Workshop,” to be held from 10 a.m.-noon. The workshop, led by Beth Beam, Ph.D., and Ron Shope, Ph.D., IAE education researchers, will provide attendees with practical tips for starting the writing process, setting goals, writing succinctly, and minding author guidelines.
