College of Dentistry celebrates the holidays
The UNMC College of Dentistry in Lincoln hosted a day of holiday festivities Dec. 18. Members of the college’s leadership team served breakfast for faculty and staff, who came dressed in their best ugly sweaters and competed for the honor of wearing the ugliest of all ugly sweaters. First, second and third place winners received gift card prizes.
In addition, many colleagues participated in “Snowflakes of Thanks,” by writing what they were thankful for this holiday season on a paper snowflake, which were then hung on garland in the lobby. Dean Janet M. Guthmiller, D.D.S., Ph.D., selected snowflakes at random and delivered prizes to those participants.
Finally, the college welcomed the Lincoln Southwest High School Chamber Choir — a 42-voice ensemble — over the noon hour for the final performance of the 2017 College of Dentistry holiday music series.
