Kang to speak at TEDxOmaha on October 21

Lydia Kang, MD, assistant professor, Division of General Internal Medicine, and author of three books, A Beautiful Poison, a fictional murder mystery; Quackery: A Brief History of the Worst Ways to Cure Everything, non-fiction and The November Girl, young-adult sci-fi, is an invited speaker at the ninth annual TEDxOmaha on Oct. 21.

"Kang will add another duty to her packed schedule," said Matthew Hansen, Omaha World-Herald writer. "She will speak about the history of medical quackery – and all the ways that history is relevant today – at the ninth annual TEDxOmaha, our local edition of TED talks. I help pick the speakers for TEDxOmaha each year, and I'm here to tell you that Dr. Kang and the seven other speakers chosen this year are some of Omaha's most fascinating people."
