Registration open for structural biology/molecular biophysics workshop

Faculty, staff and students are invited to register for the seventh biannual Structural Biology and Molecular Biophysics Workshop to be held July 13 at UNMC.

Speakers include five nationally known scientists who will participate in the free workshop, which runs from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the UNMC Center for Drug Discovery and Lozier Center for Pharmacy Sciences and Education. Registration is limited. Find more details and register here.

In addition to guest speakers, there will be five Lunch & Learns sponsored by companies offering services to structural biologists, where new instrumentation and applications will be presented. A poster session with prizes will allow participants to share concepts and ideas with the group.

The July 13 workshop is being preceded by a journal club every Wednesday at noon using papers recommended by the speakers. Register online for the workshop, journal clubs and poster session through July 10.

Previous workshops have been sold-out events attracting scientists from all over the Midwest and offering new collaborations and new perspectives on the possibilities in biological structural studies.

One correction: This is a bi-annual event, not annual. But we have a relatively good time learning new things and it's worth a look if you have any structural interests. [Yes, I acknowledge a vested interest in the Workshop.]
