Meeting and conference rooms in the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center are now available to be scheduled by members of the UNMC and Nebraska Medicine community. The center offers technology-enabled rooms include two tumor board rooms, three advance AV video conference rooms, 14 basic conference rooms and 27 consult/interactive/huddle spaces with web conferencing.
As with any large installation, each location may have a known issue(s). These are being addressed within the next three weeks. Refer to the webpage below to review the room specific known issues.
“Rooms in the center are scheduled through the Microsoft Outlook calendar,” said Melissa Diers, UNMC audiovisual project manager for the center. All rooms except 0.12.101, 0.12.102, 0.12.103, 4.12.340, 9.12.12330 and 10-12330 are first-come-first served.
The audiovisual systems within the rooms that have the capability to web conference are designed to use Microsoft Skype for Business for the primary web conferencing software solution.
A web page has been create that provides information on:
- room capabilities;
- telephone numbers;
- seating capacities;
- scheduling information;
- support; and
- room-specific issues.
“We are excited to be able to offer the campus community these new options for meetings and videoconferencing,” Diers said.
