National Women’s Health Week (May 14-20) is a weeklong health observance coordinated by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office on Women’s Health.
The Olson Center for Women’s Health – a leader and supporter in women’s health in the greater Omaha community – began celebrating National Women’s Health Week in 2010.
This year, the Olson Center event will begin May 15 with a wellness fair.
All are welcome to the event, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Durham Outpatient Center West Atrium. The fair will include exhibits and information on:
- spa services;
- yoga;
- massage;
- meditation;
- exercise;
- cooking demonstration;
- nutrition;
- women’s health;
- blood pressure;
- weight loss;

- tobacco prevention; and
- skin longevity.
How interesting that the single most important health issue in women's lives — reproductive health –is not represented. Is this a taboo subject still, in 2017?
