Administrative Professionals Day is April 26.

To mark the day, the UNMC Department of Human Resources will offer administrative assistants the opportunity to attend a half-day symposium at the Truhlsen Events Center in the Sorrell Center.

Participants will be able to choose to attend either the morning or afternoon session.

Both sessions will feature a keynote address by Jo Miller titled “Become a Person of Influence.” Miller’s presentation will help participants master the art of influencing without authority and explore ways to gain a voice and a seat at the table in their company. A leading authority on women’s leadership, Miller delivers more than 60 presentations annually at women’s conferences, associations, and Fortune 1000 corporate women’s initiatives.

After the keynote, participants will be able to attend two of the four (50-minute) breakout sessions that will be available to round out the morning or afternoon.
