UNMC to feature ‘Hidden Figures’ film for Women’s History Month

The UNMC Department of Human Resources will host a screening of the film "Hidden Figures" at 4 p.m. March 30 in the Eppley Science Hall Amphitheater. The film, which follows Dorothy Vaughn, Mary Jackson, and Katherine Johnson, three real-life "human computers" at NASA, explores the challenges facing these African-American women as they worked on the space program, specifically on the orbital flight of astronaut John Glenn. The film was a 2016 Oscar nominee for best picture, and Octavia Spencer was nominated for best supporting actress. Please register for the event through EServ.
