How I fell in love with medicine:

Early in medical school, I was fascinated by the biology of cancer and the rapid evolution of our understanding of cancer and approach to treatment. I also was drawn to the opportunity oncology affords to develop close relationships with patients and their families. It was the field I felt I could make a difference — both through clinical research and in the care of each individual patient.
