UNMC had the best showing ever at the annual SGIM scientific meeting in Hollywood, Florida in May, according to Tom Tape, MD, chief, Division of General Internal Medicine. Rachel Bonnema, MD, presented in two workshops and Drs. Shannon Boerner, Regan Taylor and Kara Markin presented in one workshop. Tanvir Hussain, MD, co-chaired the mentoring program. Dr. Sarah Smith presented a poster. Dr. Stephen Mohring did a three-day training track developing teaching skills and Dr. Boerner started the leadership program.
