Jim Slagle, a longtime UNMC employee, passed away on March 23 after a long battle with heart disease at his home surrounded by his family.
Slagle worked in the print shop as a press operator, retiring in September 2009 after 33 years. His wife, Peggy Slagle, is manager of coding and compliance in the UNMC Department of Pathology and Microbiology.
A memorial service was held on March 26 at Fouts Funeral Home in Woodbine, Iowa.
