Annual faculty award nomination deadline March 11

It’s that time of the year to get your nomination in for UNMC Faculty Senate’s annual awards.

The Faculty Senate recognizes faculty for meritorious teaching, service or mentoring at its annual meeting, which this year will be on April 20.

Nominations must be emailed no later than Friday, March 11 for consideration of the following awards:

  • Outstanding Teacher Award,
  • Spirit of Community Service Award,
  • Outstanding Faculty Mentor of Graduate Students Award, and
  • Faculty Mentor of Junior Faculty.

Persons holding faculty appointments at UNMC are eligible to be nominated for these awards. Students and faculty may submit nominations for the first three awards, but only junior faculty may nominate for the Outstanding Mentor of Junior Faculty Award.

Forms also may be obtained from the Office of the Faculty Senate, 559-5132, or by email request.

Nominations must be emailed in pdf format to the Honorary Degrees & Awards Committee, c/o Office of the Faculty Senate, to facultysenate@unmc.edu.
