On Sept. 17, with the help of Chad LaGrange, M.D., the Malashock Chair for Urologic Surgery, the newly activated @BuffettCC Twitter account participated in its first Twitter chat – #PCSMFuture. A Twitter chat is an organized, real-time conversation around a particular topic. The topic for the National Cancer Institute and Men’s Health Network moderated chat was "The Future of Prostate Cancer."
With more than 200 participants, 1,525 tweets (messages of 140 characters or less), the conversation left more than 19.8 million impressions over the course of the hour. Dr. LaGrange and the social media teams with Nebraska Medicine and UNMC helped manage the content and execution of the chat.
