The UNMC/UNO Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) has released an online application for animal research/testing/training/breeding.
The application will be available for submission of new IACUC protocols through the Research Support System (RSS) starting June 1. Although the committee will accept hard copy applications while transitioning to the new format, applicants should note that the current application forms, which can be submitted by email, are not in this new electronic format and cannot be processed, maintained, or accessed through the RSS.
As of August 1, the IACUC will only accept applications for new protocols in the new online format. The process for submission of three-year continuing reviews, annual reviews and request for changes for currently approved protocols will not change until further notice.
A bulletin will be sent out to all research personnel on June 1 outlining the implementation process, quick start instructions and training to be provided. Please contact the IACUC office at 402-559-3573 with any questions. A detailed manual also will be available on the RSS.
