Post-menopausal bone health is brown bag topic

Nancy Waltman, Ph.D., of the UNMC College of Nursing, will discuss the prevention and management of bone loss, specifically in the post-menopausal woman.

About one in two women will break a bone due to osteoporosis.

Keeping your bones healthy to prevent osteoporosis may not be at the top of your wellness list, but it should be. At the next Olson Center brown bag event, to be held from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, in the UNMC Eppley Science Hall Amphitheater, Nancy Waltman, Ph.D., of the UNMC College of Nursing, will discuss the prevention and management of bone loss, specifically in the post-menopausal woman.

Seating is limited; please pre-register by calling the Olson Center at 402-559-6345. Bring your lunch and refreshments will be provided.

The lecture is free. However, nursing credit can be obtained for $10. Payment instructions will be given at pre-registration.
