Library to hold informational session on database

The McGoogan Library of Medicine will be hosting a representative from Scopus, the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature, for an informational session from noon to 1 p.m. and 3 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5 in the library’s Wilson Training Room (8th floor of the library).

Attendees will learn how Scopus can help:

  • Find the latest research in your field.
  • Find other researchers doing work like yours.
  • Find the best journal to submit your work.
  • See who is citing you.

This workshop will cover how to:

  • Use Scopus to track, analyze and visualize research.
  • Use Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID) to solve the name ambiguity problem in research and scholarly communications.
