The annual UNMC Culture Fest will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday April 9 at the Sorrell Center’s Truhlsen Campus Events Center.
All faculty, staff and students are welcome at Culture Fest, which celebrates the culture and diversity on the UNMC campus. This event is filled with live performances, exhibits, samplings of ethnic foods from local restaurants, and activities to enlighten and inform about many of the world’s cultures.
This year’s event will focus on five countries and the specific ethnic celebrations held annually there, including:
- Mardi Gras in the U.S.;
- the Lantern Festival of Taiwan;
- Carnival in Brazil;
- Oktoberfest in Germany; and
- Dia de los Muertos in Mexico.
