Through its partnership with UNMC, Opera Omaha is offering free tickets to UNMC employees and students to the April 15 dress rehearsal of
“Fidelio.”
For free tickets, please stop by the Public Relations office on the third floor of the 4230 Building from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Love triumphs in “Fidelio,” a stunning original production of Beethoven’s only opera, with sets designed by Omaha’s own world-renowned artist, Jun Kaneko. This production, never before seen in Omaha, completes Kaneko’s operatic triptych following “Madama Butterfly” and “The Magic Flute,” which were acclaimed from coast to coast.
Conductor Nicholas Cleobury and director Michael Shell return to Omaha to lead a prominent cast of singers including soprano Wendy Bryn Harmer in the title role, tenor Bryan Register, and bass-baritone Kevin Short. UNMC is a sponsor of the production.
