Dr. Snyderman’s presentation to be live streamed

UNMC alumna Dr. Nancy Snyderman’s special Grand Rounds presentation Thursday will be live streamed to the UNMC campus community.

Dr. Snyderman, chief medical editor and correspondent for NBC News, will speak on “Health Care and the Media” from noon to 1 p.m. in the Durham Research Center Auditorium.

A 1977 graduate of the College of Medicine, Dr. Snyderman is coming to campus for a special Student Senate-sponsored Leadership Summit on Thursday evening.

Dr. Snyderman has garnered several of the industry’s most distinguished honors, including several Emmy Awards, an Alfred I. DuPont Award, an Edward R. Murrow Award, and a Gracie Award. She has reported on wide-ranging topics affecting all strata of society and has traveled the world extensively, reporting from many of the world’s most troubled areas.

The Leadership Summit also is being sponsored by the Chancellor’s Office, the College of Medicine Alumni Association and the University of Nebraska Foundation.
