Lecture explores comparative effectiveness research

Katherine Jones, Ph.D., associate professor in the School of Allied Health Professions’ physical therapy education division, will discuss “The Role of Implementation Science in Comparative Effectiveness Research (CER)” in a Program of Excellence presentation at 4 p.m. today in the Sorrell Center, Room 1005.

Objectives of the presentation will include:

  • Defining implementation science and its component concepts.
  • Understanding the rationale for use of implementation science in comparative effectiveness research.
  • Describing the tools used in implementation science.
  • Exploring the use of implementation science in a current study.
  • Discussing how to expand the use of implementation science in CER at UNMC.
