Clinical leadership positions announced

Mark Mailliard, M.D.	Lisa Runco

David W. Mercer, M.D., senior vice president of medical services for the clinical enterprise and chair of the UNMC Department of Surgery, and Cory Shaw, senior vice president of the system provider network, have announced leadership positions for digestive disease and kidney services in the clinical enterprise.

Mark Mailliard, M.D., chief of the division of gastroenterology and hepatology in the UNMC Department of Internal Medicine, will serve as physician lead, while Lisa Runco will serve as executive director.

As announced earlier, Runco also will serve as executive director for cardiovascular services for the clinical enterprise.

The new leaders will be responsible for developing the strategic plan for this clinical program and ensuring the program’s ongoing success.
