If you can’t make it to the next Omaha Science Café, don’t worry. The presentations are now available on podcast at www.unmc.edu/sciencecafe or available for download on iTunes.
To find them just go to https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/omaha-science-cafe/id888430808
Of the dozen previous Omaha Science Cafe presentations now available, some of the topics include radiation, sexual health, autism, bipolar disorder and marijuana.
“We have been getting requests for years to podcast the cafes. Now that we finally are on iTunes, we hope to be able to reach those who couldn’t attend and those who are just searching for some new information in a fun format,” said Kacie Gerard, science outreach programs coordinator for UNMC.
Science Cafe is a free educational event sponsored by UNMC and other groups to increase the population’s science literacy. Hosted by UNMC and the Nebraska Coalition for Lifesaving Cures, Science Cafes are held the first Tuesday of each month at the Slowdown in Omaha. They are open to everyone 21 and older.
Through world-class research and patient care, UNMC generates breakthroughs that make life better for people throughout Nebraska and beyond. Its education programs train more health professionals than any other institution in the state. Learn more at unmc.edu and follow us on social media.
