Children with cancer from Nebraska, Iowa to benefit from poker run Saturday, May 17

Children with cancer from Nebraska and Iowa will benefit from a poker run Saturday, May 17, during the Dillon Brothers Harley-Davidson’s 7th Annual Maiden Voyage Poker Run in the Omaha area.

Proceeds from the poker run will benefit Camp Quality Heartland, a non-profit, volunteer organization that provides free summer camping experiences and other year-round programs for children with cancer and their siblings, ages three to 18.

The Poker Run will begin at noon at the Dillon Brothers Harley-Davidson store at 174th St. & Maple Rd., and will stop in four small towns, then back to Omaha, totaling about 130 miles. The last stop will feature food and refreshments at a local restaurant where prizes for top three poker hands will be awarded.

Register at Dillon’s before the event, or on the date of the event between 10:30 a.m. noon. Cost of the event is $15 for riders and $10 for passengers.

A number of faculty and staff from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and The Nebraska Medical Center are volunteers in the organization.
