The University of Nebraska Medical Center, Olson Center for Womens
Health invites women to attend its Womens Gynecologic Health Forum on
Monday, September 23, from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at the Omaha Marriott Regency,
10220 Regency Circle.
The cost of the conference is $15, which includes the program, dinner
and keynote presenter. Nurses can receive 3.1 contact hours for an additional
$15.
Topics will include an overview of cervical, ovarian and uterine cancers;
risk factors; signs and symptoms of gynecological cancer; preventive measures;
early detection; treatment trends and current recommendations for genetic
testing.
Keynote speaker will be Michael Schuster, M.D., of Cornell Medical Center
in New York. He holds a variety of positions, including professor of clinical
medicine, Weill Medical College of Cornell University and director of the
Bone Marrow & Blood Stem Cell Transplantation Program of Hematology/Oncology.
He earned his medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School, Hanover, New
Hampshire, in 1980.
UNMC speakers include: Kelly Molpus, M.D., Steven Remmenga, M.D. and
Lynne Anderson, all of the UNMC Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology,
Division of Gynecologic Oncology.
