The University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing invites
nurses interested in earning bachelors or a masters degrees as a family
nurse practitioner, to attend informational sessions in Beatrice, May 2.
The sessions will include information about ways to earn a degree with
greater flexibility through Internet-based and other distance education.
Sessions will be held at the below location and times.
Southeast Community College, Adams Hall, Room 215, 4771 West Scott Road
4 to 4:30 p.m.
Registered nurse to bachelors degree in nursing
4:30 to 5 p.m.
Masters degree in nursing/family nurse practitioner program
Non-nursing courses taken to pursue a bachelor’s degree can be earned
at any accredited colleges and will apply toward a degree through UNMC.
Registered nurses don’t need a bachelor’s degree to enroll in the program
for registered nurses seeking a masters degree in nursing. Some of UNMC’s
nursing courses are accessible through the Internet, which offers students
the flexibility of learning at home according to their schedule.
UNMC faculty making presentations include Kate Fiandt, D.N.S. and Roberta
Kroger, faculty who teach for the UNMC family nurse practitioner program
and Dani Eveloff, UNMC College of Nursing recruitment coordinator. For
