A University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry faculty member, Peter Giannini, D.D.S., has been selected as a fellow in the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) Leadership Institute.
Dr. Giannini is associate professor and director of clinical and translational research for the UNMC College of Dentistry, which is located in Lincoln.
Dr. Giannini was one of 23 fellows selected from a competitive pool of applicants for the 15th class of the institute. They will participate in the year-long educational experience that will prepare them for expanded roles in their institutions and the profession. They emerge not only with the knowledge and skills necessary for their careers but with greater self-understanding and deeper personal vision.
Dr. Giannini earned a bachelor’s degree in biology in 1993 from the University of San Francisco, a doctor of dental surgery in 1997 from the University of California San Francisco School of Dentistry, and a master’s degree in oral biology from The Ohio State University.
