A limited number of discounted tickets are available to the March 26 performance of “Ella,” starring Kathy Tyree, at the Omaha Community Playhouse.

Where to get the tickets: There are a limited number of $5 tickets available to UNMC employees and students. Tickets will be sold from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday at a table on the second floor of the Sorrell Center, by the overpass crosswalk. Only cash will be accepted.
About the show: “Ella” is the powerhouse story and musical revue of iconic jazz singer Ella Fitzgerald. As this legend prepares for her most challenging performance, she recalls her life’s tribulations and how she found solace in music. Ella’s renowned voice transports audiences to another time with classics such as “A-Tisket, A-Tasket,” “They Can’t Take That Away From Me,” “Cheek to Cheek” and “Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off.” This moving and dazzling revue will astound and delight audiences.
