I listen to the classical station and National Public Radio, but I love a cappella renditions of pop music and enjoy various punk and rock bands.

What sparked your interest in public health?
I took a class during my undergraduate career at UNO called “Human Biology and Social Inequality” which sparked my interest in social determinants of health and disparities in sexually transmitted infections in Douglas County, Nebraska.

Your favorite study snack is:
My new favorite snack is raisin rosemary crackers, Havarti cheese, and dried figs from Trader Joe’s. I like to have a lot of snacks with me all of the time because I have an enormous appetite.

Google Maps. I’d be lost without it.

Three things people may not know about you.

  • I have an 11-month old son.
